Here I am……

Hello everybody….. the old fat boy lives~! Been recuperating a little bit here from a long tough (but productive) week. 5 days…. 18 dives…. and soooo many pictures.  We had a big group almost all of last week. 14 divers that rented the boat every day for their group. Really good for business. Kept all of the captains, Dive Masters and photographer really busy… plus there were enough local divers and other visiting folks, that warranted a second boat each afternoon….. so I went on each of them so I could be sure and get pictures of everybody. And I did…. so, so, so many pictures. Doing that many dives eats up a lot of time….. but editing that many pictures eats up almost the same amount of time. Of course, I do get to do that in the comfort of my abode, having the occasional drink with my Queen while I do that. The big group flew out today so they did not dive yesterday morning, so there was just the one morning boat yesterday. An acquaintance who had been chatting with on FB on diving here, came in and booked several dives on “my” boat— his first dive was Friday morning…. so I had to be on that boat. Nice guy, turns out he is dating the Niece of a buddy of mine here on the island and he put us in touch with each other (buddy is not a diver). I told him I was taking a couple of days off to recuperate and he understands. He will be on the boat Monday and Tuesday- so I will get to dive with him a couple more times before he heads back. There is a second group of folks (from the same organization as the first big group coming in next week as well, so I will be doing double duty again. Because of other commitments, I will only be doing double duty a couple of days this time, so it should be a little easier week.

Looks like I am going back to school for a little bit as well. I will be working toward getting my Dive Master certification. I don’t want to be a Dive Master- but the shop I work for has asked me to do it and I understand why….. so being the kind hearted [or should I say soft headed] old soul I am…. I’m gonna do it….. or try to. I should be able to get it as I already have probably 75% of the requirements needed for it. I start my orientation Monday evening.  We also have another “Wine Tour” coming up. I hate shooting those things but I know the boss likes it when I do— so I’ll be there for that on Thursday evening~~  Today was a full blown recuperation day. Computer stuff and watching Manifest. My Bride is making Spaghetti – so I’m gonna chow down on that in a little bit. Tomorrow — probably mowing the damn grass again…… then resting some more  😉

Good Night Ya’ll – – – – – – – – – – – – – Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
