Happy Easter~!!!

Easter morning and I was up and at ’em by 06:30…. courteously mostly of a cat fight right out side of our bedroom window. Because we now sleep with all of the windows open for that refreshingly cool air…… we are subject to such sounds of disagreeable pussy cats, singing birds and the occasional horney Peacock. I got up and stumbled toward the door. My bride gave me a sleepy smile indicating she was right behind me….. but I went ahead and closed the door and continued my morning routine in stealth mode hoping she would sleep in a little bit. I got in bed a little bit before 11:00 last night but she didn’t come drifting in until a little after 12:30….. I know this because she NEVER comes to bed quietly and I opened one eye long enough to look at the clock next to my bed…… so  I was really hoping she would doze back off. That she did~! I continued my stealth mode, doing my bath room stuff, and silencing her phone several times while I got caught up on world news and everything that is the FB world. Finally, while I was face timing with Grand Kids about their Easter activities ( I had moseyed down the drive way a bit so I wouldn’t wake her up with my talking) she finally come rolling out around 10:30…..Yay~! The rest of our day was super quiet as we sat and did our thing. It had already been determined, our island kids was coming in for an Easter dinner. They showed up around 4:00 and we had a nice feast of chicken cordon bleu, green beans, corn, rice, gravy and Crescent rolls. Followed by dessert of Cherry or Apple pies….. okay they were the in-the-box Hostess brand pies… but it still counts~! Afterwards we went outside for drinks and cigars [or Marlboro’s in our case] and sat and told jokes and laughed and had a great time. Almost like all was right with the world again. Bellies full and the ‘skeeters’ got more than we cared to deal with, the kids finally packed up and headed home. In here now with good music playing on the TV (Solid Gold Oldies) and chatting with you all.           Just got off the phone chatting with my buddy Will and my Mess and Daughter Stephanie….. they were all talking about how much they miss us…. a real pull at the ole heart strings…. especially knowing we probably won’t get to see them this summer as planned. From research I have been doing – getting back around the holidays may even be a chore……. one of the prices you pay to live in paradise I guess….. but it doesn’t make it any easier…….

About at my limit…. so gonna sign off…. Happy Easter… I hope you got to spend some time with your family – even if was across the street or through a window.

Good Night Ya’ll – — – – – – – – – – – – – – – Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
