First full day back home…………..

Well  I planned our trip back to the states to where I was going to have a couple of days to decompress when we got back to returning to island life….. Compliments of Delta Airlines that did not happen. I had a doctors appointment at noon today to follow up with the disaster that happened while I was back in the states (the whole heart attack thing)…… Because my Queen is coughing and turning funky colors when she does it- I talked ‘Doc’ into dealing with my Queen instead of me for this appointment. One listen to her cough convinced ‘Doc’ it was the right thing to do – so I promised to schedule a follow up appointment while she dealt with Angie. Angie is now on a whole new strain of meds to try and get her patched up now and I have another appointment for Friday…. ‘Doc’ did check my BP and I am proud to report it was 117 over 72~!!!  It has never [ever] been that good. Doc was happy and said she would see me Friday for follow up.

We left the clinic and stopped and picked up a whole new bunch of meds for my bride and then decided we needed to stop by Blues.  What a wonderful, wonderful reception when we walked through the gates. It is always nice to be welcomed somewhere – but even better when it is by a great group of people that made the fuss they did when we walked in. We spent the next several hours talking of our trials and tribulations and also celebrating Dave’s birthday~! The bar finally managed to run out of Crown (not saying Angie was drinking a lot) – so we figured that was a good signal for us to go.

A quick stop by the store to pick up essentials (milk, eggs, sausage, Crown and a few other odds and ends) and we are now back in our nice cool, quiet condo kind of wondering how we are so tuckered out after a good nights sleep and a relatively quiet, easy day………. certainly cannot have anything to do with age or alcohol……… 😉

A couple of pix I snapped today – and I’m headed for another wonder shower and some serious couch time……. I’ll get back to more normal stuff soon – I promise….. until then………….

Good Night Ya’ll – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)
