Woo-hoo the weekend~!

Crashed a little bit early last night because of a long day, a couple of beers, and a bunch of heat. I had a good day diving ( I almost always do) — I was invited to stop by a local place after diving for some Roti, a local dish that I like but my Queen is not a fan of. Because she was at a doctors appointment and wasn’t going to be home, I accepted the offer and stopped. I had 2 beers while I enjoyed my chicken Roti and chatted with the couple of guys that were already there. The place was packed, as Friday’s are ‘Roti day’ at this place and according to many, has the best Roti on the island. I have not had enough of it to agree or disagree with that statement, but what I had was pretty tasty. I did bring a beef Roti home for a meal later and let Angie try it, I figured she liked her cheeseburger taco’s she might like this….. but nope….. So a busier day than usual for me….. a couple of beers during the course of the day…3 actually (had one on the drive home) and the heat. Ah the heat— the main reason I picked this island. I love it, but seems like the last year or two, I have to get “used” to the heat again as it starts warming back up. Couldn’t have anything to do with getting older….. naaaaah~~~  😉 So we crashed a little early and even though it was reasonably cool— I fired up the A/C again….. it was the perfect opportunity. Neither of us had to be up early this morning and with the A/C running, the room is mostly blacked out, it is awesome cool and the A/C running is a perfect kind of ‘white noise’ to filter out most of the outside noises……. perfect conditions for sleeping in~! So we did…… well, my Queen did. I was up close to my normal time but tickled to pieces Angie slept in.

Finally up— a bite of breakfast and some odds and ends done on line, I moved over to the couch for movies. First movie was pretty Blaise …. so much so, once again I forgot the name of it (you really don’t want me to remember the name of a movie that was that bad anyway do you ???) Second one was one of the sappy feel good romantic movies my Queen likes. It was called A Perfect Pairing [Netflix].  Not bad…… Vera, you would probably like it. Now Angie is working on spaghetti (leftovers from the other night) and then probably headed back tot he couch for another movie. Exciting life here on the weekend for us~!  LOL

Good Night Y’all > > > > > > > > > > > > Thankx for stopping in~!

Born in Germany as an Army brat - I moved permanently to the United States about the time I was ready to start school - Dad put to me to work when I turned 13 tearing off roofs and packing shingles.. I did that, DE tasseled corn and bucked hay all the way through high school. After graduation, moved down South for a year or so trying to figure what I wanted to do. Finally came home and joined the Air Force serving almost 5 years - which included a 3 year tour in Germany, where I met my Queen. Came home and started working as a roofer. Economy went to crap and I knew I would not be able to support my growing family the way I wanted to, so I pestered the HR department at General Electric until they hired me. A very quick almost 34 years, 4 Daughters and 9 Grandkids later - here I am .... waiting as patiently as I can, to start the next chapter of our life - romping around in the Caribbean Sea checking out the various islands that we have not been to yet. Holy $hit what a ride~!!!! ;-)

  1. The pictures are so beautiful, even video of the green monster swimming, will agree he is graceful sliding through the water, but still looks enough like a snake for me, at least, to not like him. I am watching The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix, , only one season so far. Really good. There was a movie with same name, same story line, Mathew McConaughey stared in it, also like the book by John Grisham,,,doesn’t matter, it is really good, I will watch one you mentioned, thanks,,,,watched others you said, they were good, thanks. We are having so much rain and storms, but I don’t hear storms usually as have oxygen going in my bedroom, and I am in bed usually when storming, thank heavens all bad ones missing us. We did have hail Thurs during day, saw it, crazy. Still have home health care coming, nurse and now Occupational Therapy to try teach me breath better etc,,,,hate this, but hey better than cancer, will be glad when you hear from your MRI, your damn neighbors been working so hard on house and yard, looks so nice, no upkeep, have mulched the yard so no grass or mowing. I insisted after 10 years Rick let me get someone to mow, new person, work’s for Blaffler , , Erik Janik young nice young man married, $50.00 a time, yikes $200.00 a month,,,,but Rick needs to protect that leg,,,,wear it out on golf course, not my yard, plus my riding mower shot, and not buying new one, he brings his own equipment, so not bad, I guess, gotta go, stay well, look forward to your report every night. Love to you both,,,, vj
